An ex partner of mine lost her hair through cancer. Prior to losing it she had it down to her shoulders and coloured. Have to say she looked absolutely amazing after losing it and even more so when it started growing back grey. She still keeps it short and grey. She reckoned she feels great with how it is. |

Well if it is something you plan on doing at some point in your life, now would be the right time to chance it. If you end up regretting it, not like there will be any where to go in the foreseeable future that will make you self conscious. |

Hi. I never post on forums my spelling and punctuation is not great so I tend to stay away but this is something that has come up at the right time for me. I was diagnosed with leukaemia on Monday and will lose my hair over the next few weeks this is not a me poor me post as I'm sure this will not beat me. You look like a stunning looking woman and I'm sure it will be beautiful on you. I suppose what I'm really saying is it would be nice for women with a shaved to become more acceptable as the fashion statement I'm not saying all women should give it a go I know I wouldn't if I didn't have too lol but it would be nice to see some women still feel sexy and feminine without long flowing hair x |

I would love to see more of you in the forums to keep us up to date on how the disease is effecting you, how you are feeling and how we here on fab can help you to stay positive and just to make you smile..... I’m a singer/songwriter and to write a song you need to get inspiration from somewhere. Sometimes that can be very very difficult but,, after reading your beautiful post, I will be putting pen to paper and composing a masterpiece inspired completely by you. I never post in the fourms either I’m always looking an like sugarpuff said my punctuation an spelling is shit an lucky for me predictive tex works!!! But to the lady’s OP an Sugerpuff!! I took that step long time ago an never looked back new life new change new chapter!! Mine was I came out as lesbian so what do lesbians have a lot of an yes it can be a a stereotype to but I went for it!! An I never looked back!! I also never went to another hairdresser since an that was in 2002 an my hair has grown since then!! Its the attitude an how u think about yourself to do it!! Most wont cos they will always think of what others will see them as not themselves!! So u have to feel that it’s right for you!! an spontaneous does work but definitely put some thought into it an don’t let what others think bother you can can sometimes be the reason why ppl won’t do it?? An sorry to hear your news sugar puff my dad is in remission from same so there is always hope xx  |

Think society in general needs to stop judging women on their hair, how they look how they dress , their size. None of it matters and thankfully people I hope are starting to realise that. |

Yes exactly been different is another way to express yourself without words like the way someone dresses or they way there hair is so no1 should change unless they want to themselves never for anyone else!! But thanks an I do read all the posts an some a complete bull an some a very interesting so it’s nice to see threads like this an it does make ppl open up more about self expression as in this is a site where ppl can express themselves fully but in some ways u can some ways you can’t!! |
