If you have to state something, your not it.
Genuine, honest, alpha, reliable, trustworthy, intelligent,... Etc.
Show, don't tell. If you have to say it, I'm gonna assume you aren't it. |

I think its impossible to "show rather than tell" of a personal quality on a profile, so I understand why people state their perceived qualities.
If you are of course organising a meet, it's an entirely different thing - many of us will (hopefully) show our personal qualities and let our personalities shine through messages and they way we conduct ourselves.
But to obliterate them on our profiles, in my humble opinion, would make a very boring profile!

You can only show your physical being on Fab, You can state your preferences but also how you see yourself/selves in relation to others.
The way to finding out how accurate or even truthful they are is to talk to them & the only way to be 100% is to meet them, whether socially or otherwise.
Just my opinion though

Being ex management I’d say CV’s are very much like Fab profiles. People state the stuff they can’t hide & hide the stuff they don’t want to state & some are just outright fiction

How about when it comes to the classic interview question "what are your strengths and weaknesses?" Is it best to show them by the medium of interpretive dance or mime? |
