Always a social at a coffee shop or pub, wierdest one was in a McD's in Accrington!!
A social gives the op to see if there's chemistry and whether there's any point in taking things further.
We've been turned down at socials on a couple of occasions, and we've also walked decided the other party wasn't for us, all amicably done.
Socials are also good for ing out the wasters, if they won't turn up for a coffee when they said they would, then all you have been left with is a time out with your significant other and hopefully a decent cup of coffee at less cost than if you'd booked a room and then the other party hadn't shown, which would incur a greater cost.
I have heard from others about socials going bad, but so far ours have worked great guns. |

For many, socials are the way to go to do exactly what you want. I run the Chester and NW socials and have met many many people. Ideal opportunity to see what someone is like for real rather than through a keyboard. It's a safe and relaxing way to do it rather than the awkwardness where you feel you need to escape through the bathroom window. |
