Personally, I prefer a man to be trimmed. I really don't like the shaved look on a guy, looks too effeminate to me.

Having tamed things a bit I trim to. No 2 all over, I am a hairy guy some women like it some don’t, not site there is a one style fits all

For myself, having very little body hair, I think I look better shaved "below". On others I prefer smooth or trimmed.

I love the feel of being smooth on me and others, plus there is little more of a passion killer than picking hairs out of one's mouth during oral sex!

Do whatever you like the look and feel of. Don't do it for someone else.

I personally shave everything off. Not because of the trend but because I find it more hygienic and I prefer the feel.

a guy smooth looks very odd almost unnatural, trimmed is fine
