So I have been here a while, and still need to work on my profile, but I see a lot of womens profiles saying let's chat and see if we get along or something to that effect.
I am not the most skilled when it comes to starting a conversation & even worse online. Can any one give me some ideas of what kind of things that are good topics of conversation? |

"Talk about the written content of their profile, why they interest you, why you might interest them. "
Perfect answer here
Only message if you think you're what she or they are looking for. If they don't reply just move on. |

Hey OP,
I am lead to believe, that the men far outweigh the women on this site. On that basis, you'll have to learn to make your messages more interesting and attention grabbing.
How do you do that? Read their profile, what stands out, and what makes you want to message them?
If you answer that question, there's the first half of your message.
Follow that with a line or two of why you think you'd click OR something about you that you think might float their boat.
Finally, close by asking them an open question. No, I don't mean that you ask them for pictures. Ask an open question - and boom!!! There's your convo!
I'm not suggesting (at all) that you need a "blueprint" for messages as everyone is different, however, it may help you to start off with and improve your ability to make / create conversation with the people you want to get to know.
All the best

Thank you for your answers.
And I am exactly the kind of person that needs a template, I can almost function in the real world but online everything is weird & awkward for me |

Unfortunately one size doesn’t fit all - there is no magic formula that will work for everyone |

its all good advice but no matter how good your message it is going to frequentky be left unread or deleted unread and unanswered. There is nothing you can do about that, it's the only way single women can deal with the volume of messages at times. Pick your moment. There are good and poor times to send a message . |

We recently received a fantastic, well thought out message from one guy.
He had obviously taken time to read our profile, picked out important points, told us why he believed we would get along, then, asked us a couple of ‘open’ questions, which my wife answered.
Having viewed his profile, whilst Vamp said he was not someone she would have approached, due to his message, she agreed we will be meeting him, to see how we get along. |
