Have you previously been talking to them or haven't responded yet?

Honesty is definitely the right way forward.

Or tell them you are washing your hair that night

I would go with honesty, we aren't all everyone's cup of tea. X

Just be honest. We're all supposed to be adults, and can reasonably expect the rejected to take it respectfully and wth dignity.

Just block them and don’t waste your time....

You’re here for fun and your pleasure...

You don’t need to waste your time on a unnecessary conversation....

How ever you do it you will get abuse from some people so a no thanks is probably best if you have to reply.

Yeah even if you say no thanks you might still get abuse so maybe just say “sorry your not our type but happy fabbing” but like was said before it doesn’t matter how you say it

"I'm sorry, but I don't think we're a match".

If they press me on it, they get ignored.

The same way you're supposed to reply to single men. Read and block, with no reply.

Honesty is the best policy. Just say sorry not for us but if you arranged something and then have decided not to go just say x we are sorry but we have thought about this and decided your not for us, have fun x

We just tell them in a very polite way. I.e I'm very sorry but you are not for us. 90% of the time we receive a nice message back and 10% is abuse x

As a sole male i can safely say either don't bother telling them at all or just tell them to f@#k off, that's my experience anyway!

The one's i hate most are when you reply to someone who has an obvious sarcastic sense of humour with a comment they've used in their own profile and they reply back calling you a sarcastic w@nker! That takes the biscuit in my book!

I say thank yoh for msg but sorry your not for us. I then wish them luck and am very polite. Never any reason to be rude... Unless I have an idea it a single guy and doesn't take the hint.. K

As said before, an honest and polite "no thanks, but good luck" shouldn't leave any room for criticism. That's not always the case. Rejection can always be tricky.
