BBC isn't derogatory, yet people get offended by its use, usually emotionally intelligent and articulate black men who are sick of being treated like a piece of meat and nothing else.
Personally I'm starting to find ALL and ANY racially based 'terms' Pretty immature and childish. I'm not offended by them. I served in the Forces, you'll have to push me harder than that.
I'm all for a bit of piss taking racial based humour with friends of different nationalities and skin tone. The darker the joke, the funnier it is, provided I know the joker isn't a racist, and the joke being a reflection on society, rather than my friends personal views.
To see the 'terms' like Queen of Spades (wtf), snow bunnies, BBC etc. Pop up in sexual conversations makes me uncomfortable, not offended. I think it's a sad reflection of how people think in real life, not necessarily the giver, or receiver of the 'term' They may be totally ignorant of what they're doing, or why they're doing it.
I grew up on five continents, rubbing shoulders with rich and poor alike. I don't expect everyone to be as colourblind as I am.
That's about all I want to say on the subject. If youd like more detail Carters, id prefer to converse in private on the matter. As there are some very strong views on this subject. This post alone will probably draw some fire. It's a subject I'm passionate about, I'm likely to pull out a verbal shotgun if someone gives me any lip over it. I like the Forum and don't want to be banned. So that's my last post on this thread.

There is nothing wrong with using the word snow bunny in the UK. Black guys use that word alot here. And the white ladies love it.At least in London they do. This is the first time i hear its degrading or offensive.
