New in town! Profile advice please?
Jump to: Newest in thread
Hi All
I'm here on the advice of a friend who thinks this place might be a solution to my situation! (check profile!). Wondering if being as up front as I have been is the right way to go or if people recommend blagging my way through things?!
All thoughts/questions/advice welcome (be kind!) |

As always, with the default age range... would you really meet a woman who is 99?
Other than that maybe a few more photos, and standard advice of getting yourself to some local social events! Good luck!!! |

Blagging it is probably going to get you there quicker.
ps. Discreet is likely the word you meant, in context. |

I'd be a bit freaked out going to a social on my own is the thing - and single guys at such events surely isn't generally considered a good thing? they'd end up suffocating the entire even surely?x (i'm probably being ignorant here but then again, I am!) |

"Thanks for the advice guys. Do you mean "discrete" as in instead og "blagging" or somewhere in my profile?
"
Discreet instead of discrete in your profile text. Your phone may be auto-correcting by the look of it. |

"Ah. Thanks. discrete and discreet are spelt differently! thought they were the same!"
Two different words with different meanings. Discrete is probably second to genuine as the most misused word used on the site. |

Most organised social events manage the numbers of single men allowed to attend to prevent them becoming a total sausage fest. They are advertised on the forums and you need to ask to be put on the guest list. Once the quota of men is reached the organisers close the list to more men.
They are usually held in public places like a pub so no naughtiness is allowed - it is literally just a social meet up to chat with likeminded people, an opportunity to network and hopefully make friends you might meet one day for more than a social .
Sometimes there will be an "after party" at a nearby swingers club for those who want to go, again you need to be on the guest list for that and/or check with the club what requirements they have for single men to attend. |

thanks
this is my issue I think. the "not for me" factor I imagine is significant in an already crowded market I'm making myself pretty niche I guess. it's also hard to protest you aren't a cliche when that makes it sound exactly like you are! |

Guess you need to target females 25 to 40 finding out what they want.
Remember it's your profile, changing it because others advise you will simply give you a different audience.
Be yourself and be patient. |
