Good evening fabbers,

I am considering trying to organise a social meet in Ipswich some time.

Just seeing if anyone is interested.

If so, I can think about specifics.

Cheers,

R.

I am around and available to join a social gathering with good M:F ratio, if you care to invite folks like me? ... availability as per my profile .

I have no problem with anyone attending, I was thinking of a purely social meet up; no expectations of play, just so I can meet people locally.

If I can't get enough interest, I'll just get my visit to Mingles planned.

ipswich

There was one in Ipswich about 4 years ago which was well attended and good fun.

Might be worth messaging people to guage interest as not everyone reads the forum. Also , putting it on your status will bring it to peoples attention.

Hi OP, I'm in similar boat as you are, as organising a social meet in Bedford at the end of this month. I've realised just posting on forum is not enough as not that many people read forums. Status update worked, but I was still getting loads of strange messages. I sent invites to verified females and couples within 10-20miles distance from Bedford.

Think about the following:

1) how many people are you prepared to entertain at the social

2) where are you thinking of having it

3) limit places for single guys, or otherwise you'd have 100s of guys and maybe 1 or 2 women and couples

4) be prepared that not all invited will turn up

5) be extremely clear with everyone interested that it's a social only.

I think as a man you'd get different replies to the one I've been getting. Just hoping all goes well on Wed and I'd still be able to show my face in the venue where I'm having my organised social
