Hi folks, been here about 6 months, thought it was about time I introduced myself. If I can get any (constructive!) pointers for my profile, then that'd be great, thanks |

Hey Frock, cheers. To answer your question, I don't really have a ahiry arse..
Least I don't think so- I don't look at my ass too often
It's actually a term of endearment from my line manager, used whenever he thinks myself and my colleagues are getting ideas above our station ie "You're just hairy arsed porters"...
... and it was the only thing I could think of when I created the account
About the text speak.. Oh, go on then |

"Everyone loves a good profile. So, got any meets yet? "
Not as yet Wyrd. Only just really started putting myself out there, so to speak, so not expecting anything right away..
..although it'd be nice as the drought currently stands at 7 months
Whoever the lucky lady turns out to be, it's gonna be the best 30 seconds of her life |

That's what I would call a self-starter's profile! Well done to the OP.
Since you are local to Chams, perhaps you would come and attend an organised social event there so as to get to know peeps from FAB.
There is on for BBW organised by bouncy on Sun 20 Nov; and another organised by Madchick on Sun 04 Dec.
You don't need to be a member to attend, just register your interest in the relevant threads that can be found in the Meetings and Social Events' forum.
Good luck on FAB and welcome!

With sense of humour like that mate you should of introduced and livened up the forums much earlier! As for your drought at the moment, with profile like that you have a much higher chance then many guys on here.
Best advice would be to attend a few socials and parties at clubs, I notice you can write and structure your words well so I take it you don't copy and paste messages to people. If this is the case don't get dis heartened when you get one reply in 10 messages just keep trying.
Also 'rebel base' LOL |

Cheers man. Believe it or not, I'm rubbish with new social situations. Once I'm acclimatised, I'm fine.
The length of the process does vary though. I mean, I tried R3tro a few months ago, and just couldn't get comfortable. Had no problem whatsoever performing oral on the ladies there- in fact I believe I went down well(pun intended). Just a shame my little wingman didn't want to come to the party..
I know I'm that chances are, I won't get meets straight away as I'm competing with about 10 gazilllion other blokes, who probably can accomodate and/or travel, so it's not an issue.
Rest assured, if/when i get one, it'll be high-fives all round |

I'd just like to add that my problem at R3tro was nothing to do with the club, the service, or the ladies there- Anna(of Annadean) and Petra, if memory serves- all were excellent. It was nothing more than being in a new and slightly surreal social situation..

Sometimes socials and clubs isn't for everyone, however don't put it down on the first try. Naturally it can be very daunting, as with all new experiences, it is out of peoples comfort zones. Would suggest attending another social, as each one even if hosted by same organiser is totally different to the last and you may enjoy yourself even more. Good luck all the same mate |

I'll just add to that, if I may Pearl..
The original version, of the original films.
Where Greedo doesn't shoot first, Anakin Skywalker's ghost is the old bloke(not Hayden Christensen), and Vader doesn't shout, "NOOOOOO!!!" |

I bought the versions of IV to VI just so I could watch the versions Lucas hadn't dicked about with. His 'new' versions just look wrong now! |

.
Sad it may sound, however, I have 2 box sets of the originals, one of the original original, and one that is the digital remastered original, if you know what I mean!
Ooo, and Jabba the Hut is a person and not a big fat reptile in the original, and does not appear as a reptile until ROTJ! |

The major problem that I've got is when GL actually messes with story elements that were perfectly fine to begin with. Spruce up the effects? Sure, makes sense with the state of film-making technology today compared to when the films were made.
Rewriting established scenes for the sake of "making the films more accessible"? Sorry but that's just film-making at it's most cynical |

"Agree.
Putting Hayden Christensen next to Alec Guinness in the last scene of ROTJ is soooooooooo wrong!!! "
It just doesn't make sense, story-wise. Anakin Skywalker when he died, was a middle-aged man. So the manifestation of his spirit should be that of a middle-aged man
Aaaaand relax... |
