The only way to get involved in the club scene is to pluck up the courage and go to one.
We can't help you do this, it is something you have to do yourself.
It is nerve racking going to a club for the first time but we have all been there. Clubs are generally welcoming to newcomers. They will give you a tour and explain the rules/etiquette if you tell them it's your first visit. Many will also introduce you to other guests too.
Have a look on the club reviews page, all the clubs on there have a link to their websites. Do some research as many clubs have evenings when they don't allow single men to attend.
You can phone most clubs for more information and advice on your visit. They can often advise you on nearby hotels, taxi companies etc.
When you do go be friendly and sociable and go with no expectations of play, if you get to play that's a bonus.
