Ok, getting beyond whether profiles are any good or not, what would be considered acceptable or attractive for first chat for a guy introducing himself to a woman?
I would be polite, maybe give nice comments on her profile and her pictures, and try and get some chat going. Ok so far? Hopefully the woman will join I and start asking questions back and we get some general chit chat going. Then after a few days at most they're gone...
In the real world I don't get this problem. I work so.much better with eye contact and body language and general cheekiness... |

To be honest OP it is the profile text and pictures that makes the most impact.
Most ladies and couples will check the profile before even opening the message and if they don't see something to pique their interest they will probably delete the message without reading it.
In this instance it doesn't matter what you have written if your profile doesn't do it for them.
Many prefer a message that is not a copy and paste generic thing that is sent out to everyone. We like to know that you have read our profile so referencing something you read on it can help.
Sometimes though it can just come down to timing. Even with a great message and a fantastic profile I just don't have time to chat to everyone I would like to. I don't talk to too many people at once, I just can't keep up with it. If I'm already chatting to a few people I won't take on more conversations, regardless of what you said in your message. |

"Maybe think about attending socials? Plenty in the meets and events section usually. "
I've considered the meets but because I'm in the countryside I've not seen any within an hours drive that suit my timetable. |

I totally get what you've said there, and thank you for your detailed reply. Unfortunately living in Northern Ireland it's only practical.to search a 50 mile radius otherwise its like mai land people including France in their search - it just becomes impractical. And in 3 years I seem to have messaged everyone that appeals to me in that small area. I have to keep waiting for new people to join lol.
It's weird when I try to message some people the get a notification that I messaged them over 2 years ago and they didn't reply!! |
