I'd be interested to hear more. I'm a frequent visitor (every 5 to 6 weeks) and am looking to move there in the next year or so. It would be nice to meet new people and make new friends even if its of the non sexual type! |

Really? Tell us more. We're new-ish to this and would love to know if a group get together for drinks/chats etc. Its the one subject that you can't really discuss with friends/family colleagues. Like-minded people could really open up and chat about experience, give tips and also make new, trusted friends |

Iv just been verbally abused by some woman for wanting to arrange a social meet up, called me all sorts of names and thats never happened to me before, iv been to mainland scoials with my ex wife and had a great time, now should i take this post down im just amazed at her responce to me |

I think there would be quite a bit of interest in a social where ever it was on the Island. Unfortunately it isnt a subject you can talk to that many people about, I'm sure all different ages would be interested! Just for a pint and a chat! |

I think there would be. I'm hoping to move there permanently in the next couple of years so would be nice to meet some likeminded people, even if just socially to make new friends also. |

Ok April would have the advantage of light evenings. Maybe we should create a IOW social thread and see what the general feeling is for when. I am easy(no not in that way) I am thinking Cowes,Ryde or Shanklin would be suitable area's for a social. |

Would be very interested in a social here. The island definitely seems very dead for this type of thing. Have been to a couple on the mainland and heading to a club next month but it's a pain trying to sort overnight sitters to do that constantly ...i mean how many excuses can you use to have to head to the mainland constantly lol.
If you do organise one some younger couples would be fab as we keep getting messages from the 60+lol |

Can be a bit of a bitch to get home from on the bus. Ryde or Newport are definitely easier for most people on the island |
