Usually on its own it's neither, it's about far more than just one feature. I do like a tidy beard though.

How long would you wait before trimming the dead ends away so that you can get your beard looking smart I have been trying for months with no changes

It gets trimmed once a month and oiled to stop it drying out every day. Hope that helps mate.

I'm sorry ...but a "man who seeks approval of his facial hair should not have a beard"...Thor

Beards have become so trendy, news readers trying them...even ant and Dec ffs?? They used to be a masculine symbol, unfortunately for many they see them as being 'hip' and what's more some people should really stay away from facial (pubic) hair...can't wait from the trend to die.

I used to cry as a baby if i saw a man without a beard. Born to bikers in the 80s, everyone had a beard!

Definitely a preference, fashion or not

"Right then what oils are we using lads? iv got Mr natty beard elixir I have to say I think it's great and the ladys think it smells great so can't loose."

Oil is good for short beards but can look a bit greasy, only used to use it before bed when mine was shorter. I'd switch to beard butter when it's long enough that you need to brush it.

Just ordered another batch from mo bro's, the vanilla and mango is really nice

Not for us I don't get it at all .

Funnily enough I've just seen an advert for a famous tv corporation staring a famous actor looking like Grisly Adams who hasn't a shave for 6 months.

It was only when I said to my wife 'that guy looks like he needs a bath' . That I realised he was an actor .

I quite like a beard if it is kept nicely, my fwb, who is usually stubbly, appears to have forgotten to trim his for a while n looks sexy as fuck! Not sure he will get past the itchy stage tho. Stubble is usually the only thing I have problems with as it leaves a bright red trail of where your face has been, even if it is soft enough for it to not make me itchy

I’ve always loved a guy with facial hair ... be honest, who didn’t have the hots for Magnum PI?!?!

Not a fan of the Hagrid style, wizardly type beards but a nicely kept, short to mid length beard is very sexy!!
