Go to the Dutch Resistance Museum, unless you're looking for advice on something else?

At 18, I suspect you're not going to visit the cultural spots of Amsterdam right?

Get a cheap b&b, party like an animal and come home broke. Just remember to empty your pockets before coming home, make sure you're not carrying the local horticulture through customs or big burley men will put fingers up your arse.

Make sure you keep your wallet safe. Redlight district (if you happen across it) is the pickpocket capital of the world !!

Yes, the world !

Managed to get my wallet out my front pocket as i walked along the streets with my mates. A guy walks into one of the group, or slaps an arse of one of your mates as he passes. As you are all suddenly distracted, locusts appear with fairy dust and make your wallet dissapear.

Not really exagerating...

To this day, i can't believe someone managed to get their hand into my front pocket without me feeling it, let alone removed my wallet. Luckily i only had a tenner and cards, so no real harm.

Not anymore you can't, suicidal small plane pilots kept trying to fly into the big plane, all been stopped.

I went on my own two years ago and it was brilliant. I found the cheapest hotel - 35 euros a night for six days. Forgotten the name, near Hotel Plazza or something. Whenever I got lost I just asked or looked for that. Very small rooms, grotty but warm and comfortable. Can smoke joints in there too. Can come and go as you please. I was hardly ever there, just a place to sleep. Out all day getting d*unk, having massages and window shopping. Kebabs are much better out there too.
