This depends on where I meet someone..

Usually if its straight to a meet with someone I've not met before (after texting/phone calls of course) I just prefer to be kissed than a "chat" as I just find it awkward.. But then equally if I've met that person previously then I'm ok with a chat.

Everyone is different though, so it might just be easier to ask what the person is more comfortable with.
