Women tend to get a lot of messages so, even if yours was great, you might not get a reply. Don't take it personally.
From spending time in the chat rooms the consensus seems to be:
Make sure you have read the profile, including the interests, and that you match what they want
Do not send copy/paste messages
Don't start with Babe & Hun etc. with someone you don't even know
DO not send cock pics
Send a face pic
Be polite
