Absolutely... you can all then congratulate yourselves on how terribly clever you are...you could have a little mensa type test to guarantee quality...

Intelligence floats my boat on many levels but good grace, modesty and a general sense of inclusivity is what I tend to look for in my swinging life...I often find those who self identify as intelligent by using a word designed to exclude people tend to be a bit smug and rather dull on other levels...

Still, as they say...Each to their own

Presumably, sapiophiles can't do anal sex as they're so far up their own backsides there's simply no room for anyone else.

A sapiophile is not necessarily saying they're intelligent, they're saying they're turned on by intelligence.

Sapiophilia is a sexual preference just like any other and since it's legal those expressing that preference shouldn't be insulted for doing so. Sapiophiles don't have to be intelligent themselves any more than people who find black people a sexual turn in have to be black.

I think the problem arose from the suggestions that intelligence was rare on here an implication bound to raise hackles and quite ironic since there are spelling and grammatical errors in the opening posts.

Ooooops my post was meant in the sense that I'd much rather have a message that has some context rather than a simple 'you're nice, fancy a fuck'. The one who takes time to say something meaningful has more chance of a reply. That doesn't necessarily mean they are intelligent it means they can spark an interest.

Hmm, I was expressing my dislike of the suggestion that intelligence is rare here and mean no disrespect at all to anyones legal sexual turn ons. I find intelligence, quick wittedness and the ability to hold ones own in an argument without descending to insult extremely sexy that would describe A.

A woman with intelligence is the hight of arousal for me, I find that the lack of intellect can be a frustrating and more than often a huge turn off. I wouldn't class myself as highly intelligent but I'm very capable of holding my own in an intellectual conversation.

Lots of men find a quick witted, intelligent woman a threat mores the pity, it's why so many otherwise intelligent women and young girls behave in that silly giggly "ooo look at me aren't I silly" way around men..get's on my nerves that does

Let me get this right......if I'm a bibliophile does that mean I find books a sexual turn on? Or a Francophile mean I lust after the French? Oenophile meaning I get moist when I have a glass of wine (I do actually!!) the suffix Phile just means having a liking for something I've always thought, nothing particularly sexual

Well, there's a thing, intelligence isn't necessarily measured by the number or quality of degrees you have. Having a good memory will get you a degree. There are a lot of extremely intelligent people who aren't very good at information retention, therefore struggle with formal qualifications. In just the same way that MENSA and IQ tests don't rely on knowledge to measure intelligence, one cannot assume good qualifications is a sign of great intelligence.

To quote Nora Ephron

'In my sex fantasy, nobody ever loves me for my mind'

As attractive as you may find intelligence, sometimes someone just wants to hear that they're beautiful physically.

A good memory is not a good way to get a degree. To get a good degree one needs to be articulate, be able to spell and use grammar. One needs to be able discuss intelligently, give examples, be widely read on the subject. One needs to be able to analyse and extrapolate, offer theories, possible solutions. A good memory will get you none of these.
