If I may offer you one bit advice it would be this:
READ the profile of someone you are interested in first then if you feel that you may be suitable send a message.
Look for common ground, likes and dislikes. Take into account distance, home/life setup too. These things are important (well to me anyway) when making an introduction.

I have to agree with Lycan though I tend to sit back to see what comes my way and hubby sends out messages, but I guess it depends on your mood and what you're looking for at the time  either way if you're not compatible it won't ever work either way so do what Lycan says and read first |
