Yeah im probably somewhat in denial, but thanks for your thoughts  . How would you recommend improving my photos?

Pic with a vodka bottle to your lips? Lose the bottle.
And believe it or not, people do look in the background of pics and judge others personalities and cleanliness by them (as in, "would I / we want to have fun there or with that person?).... your kitchen is a mess.
Get a pic with a suit or smartly dressed, a pic showing your body, keep face pics private and for friends.
Your profile doesn't seem too bad.

Hey thanks for your constructive advice. I will certainly have another look over and invest some time in having some better photos. I will also add the photo with the mess was an old uni photo, but I agree with the whole mis en scene thing.
