So I'm thinking about rewriting my profile. I appreciate it's quite long and some people just don't like reading through the quagmire of text to get a few details that, ultimately, they either don't care about or can learn by basically chatting to me.

I think you have summed your profile up really well.
copy and paste it, don't delete it.
On average it takes 10 seconds to look at a profile/ advert, and you have to hook someone in seconds.
