Both of your comments on this thread make me lol. I'm learning a new hobby so I'm taking time to learn how to use my dslr properly so think I will be ready to take some natural pictures in a comfortable environment next week. I have learnt some great lighting tricks that I would like to try out ;o)
Yes granted my pictures (all taken on mobile phone lol) are crap on my profile but so is my whole profile is to be fair it will all be revamped in good time lol it's only fun try having a positive outlook on life ;o) x |

My point is that there are lots of people on here offering to take pictures,
Some good some very bad.
So if your making a bold statement like "i am a photographer"...The first thing anyone is going to ask is show me your work.
Yours fall into the bad section..but you know that.
Yes photography is fun and you never stop learning, but you cannot offer to take pics just because you have a new camera. Well you can, but you will get posts like this.
Before you comment, i am not a photographer..i just take snaps But i know a photographer when i see one. |

So when you said "professional" you actually meant "owns a new camera that I'm learning to use" - not really the same thing...
Out of interest why aren't you interested in pictures of men? |

"I'm doing professional photos if anyone's interested next week message me ;o) x"
your pics don't come across as professional or sharp, maybe if you posted some professional quality pics on your profile it would help your cause. |

"Give the poor guy a break lol"
Thing is the forums been full of guys offering to do photos for people in the hope that once women get their kit off for the disposable camera they might get some action |

"Give the poor guy a break lol"
To be fair he did rather set himself up to be knocked down - and then started being rude to other posters who dared to question his use of the word "professional" |

Your only just learning to use your DSLR, so how can you offer professional pictures? Do you have studio and lighting?

"No studio but I do have lighting ;o) I like your pictures btw ;o) x"
Thanks.... I'm a canon user!
If your seriously wanting to offer free photos to members then get some quality pictures on your profile and lose the 'professional' photographer bit!
Get out and get lots of practice with your camera.. Then maybe think of offering shoots....
There are so many " photographers " on this site |

Think it would be a good idea for you to practice doing a few selfies and get some good ones up first, most pro togs often do quite arty shots and their pictures do stand out.if you can do that then you would get a better response. It's also worth noteing that if our experience is anything to go by, couples get several offers a week from professional photographers offering a shoot in return for a bit of a play. |

Personally I think if you're starting out, don't run before you can walk!
Why add extra complications like studio lighting into the equation when you could just use natural light? You need to master your camera first of all. Make it as simple as possible for yourself..
Don't offer professional photographs when you aren't professional though.

"What word do you think I should use ? ;o) x"
amature or hobbyist about sums it up.
Having a "good" camera doesn't equate to being a proper amature photographer with lighting and backgrounds etc.
Being employed, doesn't make you a "professional", unless you have letters after your name after higher educational studies like a solicitor, dentist, architect etc.

"I think the problem you are having is with the word 'professional'. It implies that the pics will be taken by someone that takes pictures for a living.
Clearly not the case." |

Good luck with your venture, don't take on board the negative comments on this post, if people aren't interested in what you're offering and want to spend their time nit picking through the grammar/linguistics of it, you have to ask, why if this is something they have no interest in, why add useless comments to it?
sad haters out there. |

" doesn't know what the term professional means, it certainly doesn't mean you need letters after your name. Frank lampard is a PROFESSIONAL footballer, no letters after his name think before you post, professional ignorance i believe |
