Trying to verify couple I've just met.. Saying I can't as I need to be verified.. But they are going to have same issue as I..

If they are verified already, they can verify you. Then you can reciprocate the verification.

So how are new ones on here meant to be verified.. Just by someone who is...?? :/

To my knowledge you can verify another member provided you are at least photo verified yourself. At least it worked this way about 8-9 months ago when I finally got a meet and verified.

Photo verification doesn't enable you to verify another profile - Z

You used to be able to verify by phone or webcam, now you can't.

So in theory, if all the meet verified members left, nobody could verify one another

It's to stop fakes setting up profiles and fake verifying each other x

you can still verify if you've seen on cam - phone verification no longer an option which makes sense. Z

Being nosey and seen that a couple of your friends are verified - arrange to meet them? Z
