I have a few.
From basic steel circles, to adjustable button typed straps, to a steel teardrop shaped one which caused considerable embarrassment at security at Schiphol airport....
If it's a rigid one, you are best to get a good fitting one. They can be tricky to slide on. They say baws first, then shaft after that, but I've always found that order hard to do, and go the other way. Shaft first, and massage each nut through the steel circumference afterwards..
I'm terms of what they do, well, the steel ones, when fitting correctly can be worn discreetly for lengthy periods. It adds weight to you, and you constantly feel like you're being tugged downwards.
If and when you start to swell up, your effectively locked into it until you lose that hard on.
As other have said, you can look veiny, but you'll be hard, and stay harder, for longer.
Find one that's comfortable, that's the key. |
