"I'd pick a club and a night/ day you are wanting to go then do a forum post (or look for one) to get chatting with others going to the same event."

Around the NW some event nights have chat rooms attached to them organised by the hosts.... meaning you can get familiar with people.
Yo it first event will likely be solo.... but you'll know ppl then and it will help ease you in and maybe help find a +1 |

I’ve not really come across those here if I’m honest and the ones I have people haven’t been socialising much so it’s annoying haha |
