We don't meet single guys but if we did, you'd never speak to my missus other than at the meet. My wife has no interests in online or video messaging. We meet, we have a drink, a chat and go from there. Does that mean we are fake? Absolutely not. That said, I do see your point so use common sense.

Ultimately there is no fool proof way to spot a fake but there are red flags that indicate they could be one.

1) Long time site users. Zero verification of any type.

2) Webcam only veri. Now this doesn't always mean fake but I've seen guys verify an obvious recorded video stream

3) Photo only veri but been on the site for a year. Now again "covid" happened and it does not mean fake but we've had cases where a couple set up the account but then the guy admitted they'd broken up months ago.

4) It's a FWB account or a single account going on about bringing a friend along. Again...there are very legit accounts of this type but be wary...

Easiest way to filter out most fakes is message filters and block unverified users. There's still some that will get through but makes it a lot easier on you.

This has happened to me a few times, ladys wanting to meet then disappear at the last minute and also had a couple do it to me last night booked a hotel and just the guy turned up so was a little disappointed and closed the door. They should have a review option so you can warn others
