Thanks peoples!
We've been made to feel quite welcome with the number of messages we've had from people, and unlike the last site I used, since we removed single blokes from the list of what we were looking for, none have pestered us yet.
Apologies to the couple we contacted yesterday who'd said in their profile they weren't meeting - that was my fault.
