The advice given so far is good. It’s obviously harder when the person doesn’t have a lot in their profile, or if their profile is full of the usual stuff... nothing about them as a person. I think the best thing to do is just make sure your spelling is good, you’re articulate and polite. |

We want to get messages from people who actually have something to say. "How are you?" does not count. Most messages we get are devoid of any content worth engaging with and go straight in the bin. |

As long as the sender fits in with what we are looking for we are just as polite back.
Otherwise we will treat them with the disrespect and rudeness they deserve for ignoring our profile. |

That they have clearly read our profile and believe that it sounds like them, they we sound like we’d genuinely enjoy each other’s company and that they have filled their own profile out fully go give us an idea that would likewise get that same first impression of them.
