newbie verification advice.

Hi all. Although I am straight I am only getting messages from men offering oral etc. 
Do you think that because I have no verifications prevents couples and females from responding?
Can anyone offer advice on how to get verified, and not by gay men. Also, I'm not the most confident person and suffer from anxiety... maybe this is also getting in the way?

You can put your message filters on to stop single men messaging.
Getting verified at this time is difficult. I think the only viable option in the short term is webcam veri.
Having no verifications could be a part of a lack of responses from other groups. It's not really a great time to be looking to make new connections. |

Thanks for the response, I've found the filters and applied some changes. How would I go about a web cam verification? Is it just activating my cam in the rooms?

You'll need to be on a laptop to use the cams to stream yourself but can view cams via mobile phone.
If I were you I'd wait until it's declared safe to meet again before even thinking about getting a veri.
I personally don't trust cam veris to be cam and not meet veris, due to the blatant disregard for the rules, the status updates and messages I've been receiving from people wanting to meet, so anyone getting new veris during lockdown is going on my avoid list. I'm sure I won't be the only person with that view. |

Do you read the veris (if they are visible) before putting them on your 'avoid' list? I've exchanged a few cam veris with people during lockdown to help them out, and they most definately aren't meet veris. |

Cams is a good way to get verified. Nothing beats getting out to events and meeting people though.
A lot of clubs/hosts will verify if you go to a party.
You're unlikely to find sex on Fab, especially in this climate. You have to work and stand out, you won't do that behind your keyboard. |

We know the feeling, we are constantly being hounded by single men who don't read our profile.
Remember, there are a lot of chancers on here who will completely ignore your profile.
The only way is to use the system and block all contact from them.

If it was someone I thought seemed cool and I saw the veri was from you, then yes that would make a difference because I KNOW that's something you do and have done for a long time.
I simply lack trust these days and have seen and been on the receiving end of so many lies that I can't take things at face value now. |

Thank you everyone for the information, advice and insight. I'm not looking to meet up with covid atm. Just to open lines of communication and build on something for potential future meets.
I'll wait until lockdown has fully lifted and hope to get verification based on a face to face meet, sounds like a cam verification doesn't hold the same gravitas.
