Disappearing messages

We replied to a message from a couple about 3 weeks ago and it’s remained unopened since . They’ve been online a few times , so they haven’t left the site . I know you can read an unopened message via the thread without opening it , but why would it just ‘disappear’ from our sent box ? .......any ideas

Even if you deleted it , it wouldn't delete from their inbox. If they havn't left the site then it could be this
