Hi Admin,

I’m chatting to a MF couple, via the forum thread. I met them yesterday at a social event.

We would like to chat directly so they sent me a friend request as I was unable to contact them due to their age limit of 45, I’m 50.

I get the following message, when I click on the message link within their profile or when I try to message via the forum reply options.

“You can't change your age then mail someone who had previously age-blocked you. Sorry.“

Can you explain what this means. I’m not trying to change my age, just reply to a friends message.

Thanks

MHG x

Ask them to message you and then try to reply to the actual message. Not sure if friends request bypasses the age filters. The messages do.

I would do that too im pretty sure you can reply even if you are not in their age criteria.

Sounds like a chicken and egg situation, how can he ask them to message him if he can’t message them in the first place, unless he has their kik or something else, in which case I doubt he’d be asking for advice. Seems weird though as I thought friends could message eachother regardless of filters.

He said he's chatting with them via forum therefore can ask.
