abusive messages from user who blocks you

I've had a few abusive messages from guys.

I used to report to admin via option from user profile.

But trend seems to be to send abusive message and immediately block meaning no option to report to admin.

Anyone have this issue?

What are admin proposing by way of workaround?

You can still block them from their message x

I had this. Abusive message and then they blocked me straight away.

You can still pull down the options to report and block on their profile even if they have blocked you.. I've blocked a few who did it to me so they can't do it again..

Admin removed a few for me to that I reported

You can still pull down the options to report and block on their profile even if they have blocked you.. I've blocked a few who did it to me so they can't do it again..

Admin removed a few for me to that I reported

Indeed- I'm old enough n ugly enough to take it on the chin but I hate to think such vile comments are made against others. Anything to out the undesirables

I can only see option to block from the message - i dont see any option to report from the message.

Apologies if that's me having an early onset senior moment.

I think you can still report OP.

If you go to the blocker's profile page, although you can't view the profile, there is option to report still.

I don't get guys who get abusive because they get rejected grow up and get a pair of balls, if I message someone and the reply and say no thanks I wish them well and move on,

When you open a message you can see the reply, block, save, delete thread boxes. Under this on the left it says report, you can click on this to report an abusive message

You should just feel sorry for them,because it's obvious they so unhappy and unbalanced in they life that they want to bring people down to they level,bitter and twisted...not to mention egotistical.

Just laugh at them xx

Yes but they might hurt someone else, best to report so admin can deal with it.

what annoys me is that when we report thease users who send abusive messages are allowed to staty on site why

If someone blocks you always make sure to return the block. It takes away their privilege of unblocking you when ever they wish. I too have received abuse for no reason whatsoever and then they block me WTF

You can report from the message itself as explained by others on the thread, or on a blocked profile there is still a blue menu with the report button

I suppose it gives people a second chance ( dependant on the level of abuse/ rule breaking ) I will post what Admin say they do with reports

Here is an explanation from Admin from another thread on how they deal with reports.

******Just a quick note. If people report others and we can verify that they have broken site rules, we always take action (either a first and final warning, partially suspended account, fully suspended, mixture of the above).

Every single report sent via the REPORT link is reviewed. Clearly it's not in our interests to have people on here who are bad for the site. Equally we need to verify what has been reported and be fair to those who have been reported.

PS. we never provide feedback on what has happened. It's just not practical given that we get 100s of reports a day.

Here is what the page says after a report has been submitted:

Your feedback has been saved.

A website admin will shortly review your feedback and take the necessary action. After reviewing the evidence available to us, we may disable an account, remove a user, disable certain aspects of that user's account or issue a warning.

By leaving feedback you help improve the site for everyone who uses it. Thank you.******
