Blocking Silhouette Profiles

We are getting more and more frustrated of the constant stream of silhouette profiles with no photo public or Private of their own.

Of course we can block these profiles on a ad hoc basis but why can't FAB adopt the policy that other lifestyle sites give you of you being able to set your preferences to block silhouettes viewing your profile in the first instance.

Below is the reply I got from Admin, obviously missed the point completely and the reason the quality of active members on fab is slipping.

Hi,

You asked a question about your account. You can find the facility to change your details using the relevant link at the left hand side of the "MY ACCOUNT" page.

Yep me too. Some pop a public pic on to message then hide it again

Yeah, great help.

Frustrating that nothing is being done whilst we are loosing decent genuine members from this site to other sites

Dont look whos looked at you. I find it pointless whos looked. If someone wanted to message then they would

Use your filters OP. That will get rid of most of them the rest, block individually.

I understand your frustration, especially with ignoring said messages not being an option

"Use your filters OP. That will get rid of most of them the rest, block individually. "

It only stops them from being able to message.

They can still screen shot all your public pictures.

Try it

I know. But better than nothing. That's why I keep all my pics friends only so it can't happen.

Its never going to happen as it would cripple the money generation model.

Most of these silhouette profiles are not members so they message you. IF you don't reply they can't message again if they are not a member but are prompted to pay membership to message you again.

Cynical but I think that's near enough what the bigger plan is.

Block everyone! Then search profiles and you make first contact that way you don't get the silhouettes mailing you at all. Job done!

Maybe you’re a little too easily frustrated...

Other sites manage it, just a simple option selected and job done. Frustrating how the admin on this site do nothing hence the genuine members are moving on. Yeah we have joined the other site too but aspects of this site we do like. It's just a pity what's happening here
