Make a new account as a couple. You're not a paid subscriber so won't lose anything. Can't use verifications from a single profile as a couple anyway.
Got nothing to gain by making your profile a couple profile. If you wanted to meet someone by yourself you would use your single profile.
Takes few minutes set up an email for the profile and then sort your verification photo out for it.
