Fabs Reading in Public Mode would be awesome

Like many on here, checking fabs can become quite an obsession.

Fear of missing out and all of that.

The Newsfeed/Updates feature is great in private but what I'd really appreciate is if there could be a Newsfeed but text only.

So many times on the train/in the pub/at work

I find myself having to scroll down frantically past a penetration shot or something equally graphic before I sense anyone has caught a glimpse of my screen.

Great in private of course

Less so in public.

Any chance of a Public mode for update checking on the sly?

There is an option to hide all site images.

You can hide all public photos.

From the main page click on the account button at the top and scroll down to the bottom. On the left you will see the hide all site images button

I never knew of that facility in 3 years or so of using the site

Much appreciated!!

Hopefully that will stop me from being ejected from the pub/being disciplined at work/being arrested while browsing in the future
