We're thinking of changing our user name. Looks ok on paper (it has meaning to us), hard to say out loud to folk who ask, as we found out at the Manchester social today - 'whaddya say?'
Question: when user name is changed does its change throughout the site on veris we have given etc? Do we lose anything?

No. Everything (including friends, verifications) stays the same and the only thing that changes is your username |
