Not all porn websites are effected but not sure how that works.
Instead of having to buy a card at a shop it can be done using a passport or driving licence or even the website photographing your face. |

On another site I'm on, the only way to validate membership is by providing a full face shot holding up passport or photo ID.
I was sceptical for a long while before succumbing to just doing it for the sake of showing that I'm genuine thus not afraid.
It was as painless as the recent GDPR lark which just inconveniences us all by adding an annoying banner.
Maybe the Ashley Madison lark has us wary, but personally I think if we are all vetted by verifying our identity then that might just help prevent trolling and abuse which would be very welcome.
