I access fab using google chrome/incognito via my BT home hub. I noticed when I type in fab, it autocompletes the url despite me not having fab in my history. The BT logo then appears to the left of the url, once fab open it is replaced with the padlock.
This is the only site it does this for. Any ideas why? I'm concerned the BT hub is tracking or recording the use of the site as others in the house use the internet here to.
Thanks

It's likely you have in the past had connection problems, and the BT router responded giving you diagnostic suggestions when you tried to connect to Fab. Chrome will then have cached the icon for the insecure version of the site.
As soon as you visit the site you are forwarded to the secure version which will have a different (or none?) favicon.
I hope that makes sense. Shouldn't be anything to worry about. |
