Do people think it’s acceptable to use language on here that would be frowned upon in the real world?
I’m talking mainly about men who say things on their profile like “no fucking trannies” or “gay lads stop messaging me you fucking queers”
Particularly interested in any responses from admin. Everyone is able to block those people they’re not looking for and just because a profile says they’re not looking for men doesn’t necessarily mean they’re not (I’m frequently told by guys that they omit looking for men from their profile because lots of women don’t like bisexual men)
Is it about time that admin set rules and guidelines for how people are allowed to speak about others on here? If this guidance already exists then I’d love to see it and to know how it is enforced. This is an online community and as such community guidelines are appropriate to ensure everyone is shown the respect they deserve. |

We're not admin but there are site and forum rules concerning how people are spoken about. If you feel someone has used inappropriate language, report the profile. However it can be a useful indicator of personality. |

You cannot define offensive objectively.
I am personally not offended by any abuse put my way or people being offensive in general. It is just data and I can choose to ignore it and move on. Social behaviour should be managed by the community. Freedom of speech works both ways, if bad people were made to be quiet, we wouldn't know they were bad. |

I think at the end of the day we are adults and should be allowed to use the language we want, however as someone mentioned it’s very telling on a profile and I would probably not bother engaging with someone like that .I am on another site and you can’t even put a kik address in your profile which is a bit frustrating it depends really I am not a great fan of censorship. |
