As we all know, it doesn't really work very accurately, you can't be sure how far somebody really is from you.
I have a friend on here, who routinely tells me that they are travelling the world, they do log in and never seem to be more than about 50 miles away from me even though they will be telling me they are at the other side of the world.
Are they just a great storyteller?
It doesn't bother me at all, I just find it a little bit humorous and wonder if they are a little bit Walter Mitty. |

I think logging in will give you a more or less accurate picture. So if someone is logged in and is x-y miles from my current location and say they're in the centre of Manchester, which I know comes up as x-y miles away, they're likely telling the truth. I do know that some people get caught in lies that way. |

I can't help but think if he's been out of the country for more than 2 weeks, over 2000 miles away, yet logging into fab every couple of days and is showing as mobile within 30 miles and home within 40, that is on a bit of a mind trip rather than physical trip.
It doesn't matter, I just find it amusing, especially when he messages me off here to give me updates on how strictly is going. |
