I get no sound, maybe it is normal on an iPad?

The sound level is up to the cammer - they do not have to have sound enabled, if they don't wish to.

There is an icon to show which cammers have sound on.

I still get no sound from anyone.

Thanks, but not that.

Sounds play fine on other sites and mute is off in the active cam window.
