How to delete saved messages?

I am trying to delete saved messages. I click on message and then delete; but they are not disappearing. Any ideas?

Try using the older version of the Mail system - sometimes that allows you to delete a message you cannot see in the New 'grouped' mailbox.

I had this problem but using a mobile. Some advised to try from a desktop.

On my mobile I have to click delete on the ones I don't want but then I click on Home updates or accounts.

If I don't they won't disappear
