When joining the site some years ago I joined as a male. I now feel that TV represents me better these days. Is there any way to change this on my profile?

Just message admin and they can do it for you.

Or create a new profile and start again, although that does mean losing all your veris.

You can't do it yourself but you can contact admin and ask them to do it for you.
