Should you verify someone and they show it on their summary but do not reciprocate by sending you a verification can you recind the verification you gave them? I'm fed up doing verifications first but not receiving one back. I think it is very rude.

No, you can block that person from you and the veri won't show though

Really? Some people don't leave veris for many reasons, I'm sure it's not personal. I'd never send a veri just to expect one back, it's up to them. You could block them then it will disappear but that's quite petty I feel.

I could see the point with this if you were unverified, met with a verified and got no verification but you have 184. Are you really going to miss another one?

Would you take a Christmas present back from someone if they didn't give you one in return ??

It's your choice to show yours as it's their choice not to. I will verify anyone I meet however I cannot receive any in return because of my age filters and that fine, I'm not interested in them, I meet to have fun, not get a performance review

It's not a question of numbers I thought the other party enjoyed our company it wasa social meet and I get a bit hurt by being ignored.

Maybe the meet wasn't has great as you thought were. I'd never verify anyone just for the sake of it.

Some might not give them, many on here don't like to display who they've met and they have no control over whether you display it or not. They may have genuinely forgotten to send one back but I don't think its bad manners at all. I think it's worse to have the ability to take it back or block the person, that's petty and more hurtful than not returning the favour I feel.

It wasa social and we appeared to get on really well. If they didn't think so why did they accept my verification?

Thanks for your views.

Ask them?

It seems that I am just very petty and shouldn't have any injured feelings!

Cest la vie!

I really wouldn't worry about it, it is what it is, it's usually a load of old crap from a stranger you'll never meet again anyway

If it bothers you that much, don't send a veri and wait to see if they send one first.

Don't send one first, leave them to verify.

OP you have over 201 verifications I'm sure one isn't going to spoil it for you.

Shouldn't really matter how people got on when they met, the point of a veri is to say that you met someone and they were real and the person in their profile. Everything else is just personal opinion and sjbjectiv to personal taste. If they met you and they were as described, their veri should stand.
