We assume you're talking about chat?
To clarify: On newchat, you need to be photo-verified (verified by others tick does not count) OR site supporter AND you need to have been on the site for over a week to send/receive private message chats.
If you get photo-verified you'll be ok. We made this change a few months ago to help stop spammers and scammers targetting chat. You also need to ensure that your chat is set to receive PMs, you can do this with the drop-down in chat on the right hand side just above the roomlist. This now defaults to friends only can PM you (again, to help stop spammers and scammers targetting chat).
