Another verification issue

Hi. I have had 2 users recently tell me they had verified me but heir verifications never showed up. One even messaged me to ask why I hadn't put it on display!
Is this a known problem? Are there hundreds of unclaimed verifications floating around in cyberspace???

Two things to check:-
A) Have you looked in 'Manage Verifications' (from the left hand menu on My Account page - you have to choose to display verifications, they don't automatically display)
B) Are these people friends who might have at some time shared an internet connection with you? Admin's answer from the FAQs is "If you're trying to verify another account that you have created yourself or you're trying to verify someone who is using the same PC as yourself, or you're on the same internet connection, then the verification won't be recorded. We do this to stop people creating fake accounts and verifying them themselves." |

Have tried A and they are simply not there
Regarding B they are both genuine and not people I have ever shared internet connections with.
Just a mystery then!

For what it's worth... There are no failed verifications for you that we see (they are all logged).

would it be possible to revoke verifications. the whole point is to prove that someone is genuine right, but if they won't have the decency to return the verification then they aren't as genuine as first made out!
or is it possible to add a feature where the verifications are a dual thing where if someone wanted to put my verification on their profile they would first have to verify me in return? |

Bit harsh isn't it? Verification is a voluntary thing not a prerequisite. |

Yes it is nice if people do but .... one person could send a veri saying yes met and the were the greatest but if the other person had actually not enjoyed themselves or had found there was an issue, what are they meant to do send a veri they don't really mean! We personally only do a verification if we are completely happy with what went on and if another person sends us one but we aren't willing to do one for them, then we just wont show theirs. |

Hi there
I have an existing profile here and have recently set up a profile on my PC for a playmate of mine who has no access to a PC atm. We have both tried verifying each other but its not being accepted. We are both photo and personally verified on our individual profiles so are both 100% genuine. Is there any way we can send each others verification messages?

You won't be able to verify each other as both profiles have come from the same pc,its to prevent fake profiles being created and verified |

Sadly, _urplegal, if you're both using the same Internet connection, you won't be able to verify each other (per answer above)
However, if you're both already verified by others, this shouldn't cause you a problem  |

hey every, recently did my verification photo, but it still wont allow me to leave a verification on a certain ladies profile and it wont let her leave one on mine? any ideas? |

How do I get verified by other members?

You need to find someone who is already verified and ask them to verify you. If you are a couple or a woman then you can get verified by webcam or phone. An easy way to do this is to go into the chatroom while you are both there, switch your webcam on and ask someone to verify you. If you are a single guy then you need to meet someone.

You won't be able to verify anyone until someone verifies you - you are only photo verified and not meet/ cam verified which is needed before you are able to give verifications. |

Hi, tried to verfy someone on their pc realised afterwards could not do it. I have know come home and diffrent ip address why will it not let me verify them? Can the verfication be uploaded?

I am a single guy and having exactly the same issue. I've met two site users who are verified and have left me verifications. However I cannot access the manage verifications page.

We have great friends on our account and they have used our internet few times but can still verify us? When they get home ..... So how does that work bout sharing a internet at sum point? X |

its not to do with SHARING an interent at some point. It is if you allow someone to register on Fab from your IP Address thats when problems arise and they cannot veri you |

I've had this on a number of occasions. Once I was even sat in the same room and watched her do it, the same woman has tried several times on different profiles but it will never allow her to verify me. She is well verified and well known on the scene. Could it be something in her or my setting. Once we thought it was coz we hadn't exchanged messages so tried that another time because I didn't have meeting women as a preference so changed that. Nothing ever works though :/ |

You're probably on same internet connection so it won't work.

Our broadband connections are in different homes so how could that be? How would fab know I'm visiting her? Plus how do that explain the other times when I wasnt there and when mine or other peoples have not been received. There is a fault in the system somewhere? |

That's not true.
Number of forum users have visited my home, used my internet, gone home & were able to verify me. And I them.
If u only logged on from someone else's internet, no the veri would not process.
Obviously to stop people verifying their own new accounts.
Sometimes just changing age range or looking for works. I've only ever had trouble with female to female veris though |

You have to be verified by another person before you can verify. Being photo verified isn't enough I'm afraid |
