My old Microsoft vx3000 cam stopped working & Microsoft said it was not supported on win 10. Bought a Logitec c920 hd pro ( not cheap) & still will not work it shows a cam is attached but no images from the new cam. Works fine in other applications & have got the latest flash! Any ideas as kath wants to get back on cam lol.

Mt Bean.

ok, from the logictec site itself i found this:

Manufacturers implement webcam support in various and non-standard ways. KVM switches, in particular, may affect the functionality of your Logitech webcam.

Other third-party devices that may interfere with the communication between your Logitech webcam and your computer are:

KVM switch boxes

Port Replicators

Docking Stations

USB Hubs

from the microsoft site:

You may also try the below steps and check if it helps.

1. Connect the webcam directly to your computer on a USB 2.0 port.

2. Open the Device Manager.

3. Open the Imaging devices section.

4. Right-click on the C920 entry then select Update driver.

5. Choose “browse my computer for device drivers” and click Next.

6. Choose Let me pick from a list and click Next.

7. Check the box for Show Compatible Hardware.

8. Select USB Video Device and click Next.

9. Wait for the drivers to install then Finish. Click Restart when prompted.

10. Test the webcam afterwards.

and this:
