Hi -
Quick question - if I send a message and then delete it before it's read by the recipient - is it also deleted in the recipient's inbox so that they never see it?
Thanks! |

Answer to your question.
I don't know.
But If you want to try sending me a message & deleting it,
I don't mind.
Put test message in the subject box & Full English Breakfast in the text box. |

"if I send a message and then delete it before it's read by the recipient - is it also deleted in the recipient's inbox so that they never see it?" If you delete your account, before they read it, it may disappear, but if not, at least they won't be able to tell who it was from!

Hmmm, some interesting replies to this question. To clarify however -
1. The message will not disappear. If you sent it then they have received it. There is no such option to delete once sent, even if it is showing as unread. (Which is a meaningless Fab function anyway as the message may have actually been read but then marked by the recipient to show as being unread).
2. If the message is not the latest one on a thread between you and the recipient but a fresh, new message then -
• Deleting your account WILL prohibit them from knowing who sent them the message. Your message will still be in their Inbox for them to read, however your Fab profile name is replaced with the words 'User no longer on site'. Therefore they can't view your profile, know what your username was but....
• If the message was the latest in a thread and you were replying to their message then even if you delete your account it's going to be pretty obvious to them who it was from. Your username will still be replaced with the words 'User no longer on site' however the subject title from the message you replied to WILL still remain in view.
I hope that helps.
You had left your phone unlocked and yourself logged onto Fab without knowing your d*unk mate had been on your phone.
That is quite possibly the modern day, adult equivalent of 'the cat was sick on my homework' when it comes to excuses.
So just don't use that one.
