Problem...can anyone help?

When I log in on my phone, I have always been able to reply to emails, with no problems. Recently however the box in which you type, to reply, has changed from a box to a 2mm slit

I type into it, but the message is then sent with out spaces .........soreplieslooklikethis??!!

Has anyone else had this problem, and if so how did you resolve it?
