Hi, apologies if this has been raised before but I don't go on this forum section very often. You'll more often find me in the support or chat sections! After a conversation with some friends about internet privacy and lack of, I decided to Google our profile name as I know we have set our privacy settings so that it is not listed on search engines. It came up with a list of some of the people that we had verified (presumably they haven't set their privacy settings so their profiles are not listed). When I clicked on the link it took me straight to their profile and I could see everything on it except their photos which were blurred. When I clicked on our verification it did say that I had to be a registered user to view that profile. Is that how it works? |

Good point. I know some are not bothered about being searchable on Google but others might be. I will message them to let them know. Thanks again for your help and the prompt response. |

why doesn't the site hide all site info, or say that you have to be a registered user to access it?
I can't believe anyone would have a problem being hidden |

Then whats stopping people making up a profile to check out what they cant see as a non-user?
OK, it will happen now, but if they can see less then they may be more tempted to make a profile up 'to have a nose'
Of course, why would anyone google your username randomly.... they would have to be on the site to KNOW your username to google it in the first place |
